Our Impacts

Our Projects

About Ivohiboro

Unlike the grassland and savannah in the surrounding area, Ivohiboro is not adapted to fires. The firebreaks are intended to keep forest from burning and allow natural regeneration to occur. Given enough time, the forest will regrow in unburned areas.

One of the greatest impacts has been on community attitudes and behavior. We've created over 10,000 employment opportunities during the construction and maintenance of the firebreaks.
